De Plane, De Plane, it's the main transportation to Fantasy Island (St. Vincent). We arrived (Joetta and George) via Caribbean Sun Airlines from Puerto Rico. The island is just west of Barbados and north of Grenada. Kingston is the largest city in St. Vincent and is on the Caribbean side of the island, where the airport is located, extending into the sea. Dive St. Vincent and the Young Island Resort dock is located $10 US away from the airport. Young Island runs a ferry boat back and forth to the island all the time. It is a real classic double-banger! It's free. Diving is great, as the images will attest to. Young Island Resort is a very nice place to stay in St. Vincent. It is very peaceful and you feel safe and secure. The water is warm and I enjoyed snorkeling while the others were scuba diving. The diving boat picks up everyone at the dock and that is very convenient. You start the day with a great breakfast, meet at the dock, off for a couple of dives then back for a late lunch. Dive St. Vincent takes care of your gear while you go ashore for the night.
